Professional Organization Membership/Leadership:
President, Rochester Professional Chapter of ACM-SIGGRAPH, 2014 – Present
ACM-SIGGRAPH is an international organization whose local chapters promote excellence in computer graphics and interactive techniques. In Rochester, we foster a community among professionals both on- and off-campus. We work closely with the RIT Student Chapter of ACM-SIGGRAPH, and work to sponsor quarterly presentations of interest to the community, and host visitors from the CG Community to help us pursue our mission. We represent Rochester and RIT each year at the annual international ACM-SIGGRAPH conference, which includes educators, software developers, studios, game-developers, and creative heads from around the world.
President, Rochester Area Autodesk User’s Association, 2010 – Present
Autodesk, Inc, is considered to be a leader in the production of many high-end 3D content-creation applications. The User’s Association is a group of individual chapters from around the world who convene virtually and in person to share ideas, to learn and to teach in the broad field of 3D content creation and all its ancillary processes.

On-Campus Service to the RIT Community:
Gallery R Committee, 2011-2012
Served on the committee that directs the mission and functions of the RIT exhibition gallery off-campus within the City of Rochester. In 2011 and 2012, this committee oversaw the procurement, construction, and finish of a new space on College Avenue; a mission statement for the gallery was drafted and a calendar of events was created.
In the late summer of 2012, worked with the curator of the gallery and developed a show for work created by the 3DDD department of the College of Imaging Arts and Sciences; the show’s opening was held on First Friday in September, 2012, and was open to the public.
Gallery R Benefit Auction 2013
Served on a sub-committee of the Gallery R Committee to sponsor a benefit art auction to raise money for the gallery. Responsibilities included solicitation and collection of artwork for the auction, ticket promotion, food, music, etc.
School of Design Portfolio Committee 2012, 2013, 2014, 2015
Met weekly to review and rate portfolios submitted by applicants to CIAS and School of Design
School of Design Search Committee 2013 – 2014
Served on a committee to advertise for, solicit and review applications for new tenure-track position in 3D Digital Design, and a possible visiting-artist position for the same department. Conducted telephone and in-person interviews of applicants, resulting in the ultimate hire of one successful candidate.
School of Film and Animation Search Committee 2012 – 2013
Served on a committee to advertise for, solicit and review applications for new lecturer position in the School of Film and Animation. Conducted telephone and in-person interviews of applicants, resulting in the ultimate hire of one successful candidate.
Facilities Committee, 2013-2014
As part of the CIAS Strategic Plan discussed and implemented in 2012, joined a subcommittee to discuss facilities allocation and usage, to report to the dean and to work towards the implementation of more efficient strategies for building and facilities usage
College and Careers, 2011, 2012, 2013
As part of a weekend recruitment effort for RIT, taught a series of “hands on, interactive” lessons to potential incoming freshmen, to give them some experience of a sample 3DDD class, and a taste of the kind of work we do. Taught two morning, two afternoon sessions on a Saturday in August of each of the above-mentioned years.

Traveled to various cities to represent RIT at “National Portfolio Day” events, as follows:

Represented 3DDD Department at CIAS Open House presentations, participated in discussions and Q & A sessions about the department with parents and prospective students. Conducted portfolio reviews in the afternoon.
Participated as a reviewer in RIT National Portfolio Day 2013
Design Team Lead, RIT Innovation Festival “VIP Badge” 2013
Worked closely with the RIT Organization team and with a select group of 3DDD students in the design and creation of an “Augmented Reality” VIP badge for ImagineRIT, to be given to trustees, donors, and invited dignitaries to the festival.
